Little Pastry Boutique was born out of a passion for baking and a love for creating beautiful, custom-made treats that bring joy to every celebration.
Hi! I’m Karla, the owner of Little Pastry Boutique.
I’m a Venezuelan, a wife, and a mom of two. Before becoming a baker, I was a Prosthetic Dentist. However, to practice dentistry in the U.S., I needed three additional years of schooling. Balancing that commitment while adjusting to a new country and caring for my young children was challenging. Though I missed dentistry, I found a new way to express my creativity—through baking. As a dentist, I created beautiful, healthy smiles.
Now, as a baker, I create beautiful, delicious desserts. It all started with making cakes for my kids’ birthdays, and that passion grew over time. Completely self-taught, I kept improving my skills, and in 2017, my daughter encouraged me to start selling my baked goods. With the support of friends and a strong desire to grow and learn, I opened Little Pastry Boutique.
My Venezuelan heritage deeply influences my baking. I love incorporating flavors from my home country and other international delights because they are part of who I am. Today, I create desserts that add sweetness and joy to life’s celebrations—whether it’s a milestone event, a special outing, or just a simple afternoon treat. Bringing happiness through my work is what gives meaning to Little Pastry Boutique.
